Role Overview
Seeking a senior leader to drive monetisation of our
App & Data ecosystem
. This is a pioneering role that will define, build, and own the P&L for App-led and Data-led revenue streams in our wearables business.
The role requires a combination of
strategic thinking, business model innovation, ecosystem partnerships, and execution excellence
. The ideal candidate will bring experience in
digital platforms, consumer apps, health-tech, fintech, or data monetisation
, with proven ability to conceptualise and deliver new revenue lines.
Key Responsibilities
Strategy & Opportunity Building
Enhance the current App status and elevate the ratings above 4.2+ for both Android and iOS.
Define the monetisation strategy for App & Data -- subscriptions, partnerships, marketplace, advertising, corporate wellness, insurance, and data insights.
Prioritise revenue streams into
short, medium, and long-term plays
, aligned to business goals. Benchmark against global leaders (Apple, Fitbit, Samsung, Amazfit) and adapt to Indian consumer context.
Business Development & Partnerships
Identify and negotiate with external partners (healthcare, wellness, insurance, fintech, research).
Build ecosystem alliances that enable monetisation (B2C, B2B, B2B2C).
P&L Ownership
Own revenue targets and profitability for App & Data monetisation.
Develop pricing models, revenue forecasts, and financial dashboards.
Execution & Team Building
Keep ensuring the App ratings in the stores at minimum threshold levels, focus on Reviews and ratings with appropriate responses, and action the feedback effectively.
Elevate the App experience of the users by closely working with internal teams and monitoring the ratings & reviews by providing responses as appropriate.
Build and lead a small cross-functional team to deliver monetisation initiatives.
Work closely with Marketing, Sales, Technology, Customer Experience, and Operations to execute.
Establish KPIs for App adoption, DAU/MAU, retention, ARPU, and monetisation.
Governance & Risk Management
Ensure compliance with data privacy, security, and regulatory requirements.
Put in place governance frameworks for ethical and transparent data monetisation.
Key Skills & Competencies
Strong
business acumen + execution drive
with P&L mindset. Experience in
App monetisation, digital subscriptions, or platform partnerships
strategic thinking, analytical ability, and execution discipline
. Strong network-building and negotiation skills.
Ability to communicate and influence across senior stakeholders.
Qualification & Experience
MBA / Postgraduate in Business, Strategy, or related field (preferred).
Track record of launching or scaling revenue streams in consumer apps, SaaS, or ecosystem businesses.
8-15 years of experience with at least 5 years in
App monetisation, digital platforms, or ecosystem partnerships
. Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
MBA / equivalent preferred.
