We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead Merchandising professional to join our team at Titan. As the Lead Merchandising, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of category expertise within the Jewellery-SMR sector.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and approve the seasonal sale forecast and offer sales profitability forecast
Review and approve the annual store-wise product group sales mix
Develop and approve the product mix and other initiative plans for the stores assigned under hero markets
Design and approve the annual plans for new product introduction and penetration as per the forecasted demand plan
Design and approve the annual collection launch plans and activation plans
Design, develop and approve any national level interventions targeted towards boosting sales of concerned SKUs
Design and approve interventions for effective market analysis like exhibition, melas, road shows etc. to boost sales
Review the product universe periodically and provide inputs for improvements to the category managers through gap analysis based on customer and store staff feedbacks, opportunity analysis based on vendor feedbacks etc.
Provide inputs and insights into the pricing policy changes
Review the integration of Mia strategic growth levers into the merchandising plan
Collate data and provide inputs for sign off on the merchandising plan with the senior management
Approve the modified inventory expansion plan across the stores annually or on demand basis
Manage and control the mark-up model (stone & making charges) on F1 & F2
Plan and organise Gross Contribution benchmarking activity across relevant competitors
Design and develop the discount pay-out and variance management and seek final approval from Head Merchandising Jewellery
Plan the offer/ discount management activity along with the team and seek approval from Brand Head Jewellery on the designed plan
Manage the making charge variance across regions and seek approvals on changes from Head Merchandising Jewellery
Provide insights and develop the calendarized offers and activation schemes based on sale projections and profitability
Develop schemes and strategy to ensure liquidation of SKUs and approve adhoc/ regional activations targeted towards improving focussed sales
Provide insights on the product resourcing/ movement of manufacturing setup from vendor.
Approve the list of focus stores based on inputs from regional teams like wedding destination stores etc.
Approve the integration of Tanishq growth levers with the sales plan
Qualifications:
MBA from premier institute
12-15 years of experience in merchandising, preferably within the Jewellery, Fashion category
Strong analytical skills and ability to interpret data to make informed decisions
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Proven track record of driving sales and profitability through effective merchandising strategies
