The Lead - Welding Training is responsible for executing welding training programs, schedule and execute welding training activities, and ensuring welders are equipped with the necessary skills and internal certifications. This role bridges technical training with operational needs, supporting the Lead - Welding Engineering and Production Shops in achieving goals related to workforce development, weld quality improvements, and compliance.

Design and implement structured welding training programs (basic and advanced levels). Conduct hands-on training sessions in MIG, TIG, SMAW, Flux-Cored, and other welding techniques. Evaluate trainee performance and provide feedback for skill enhancement. Ensure compliance with welding codes, standards, and safety regulations Collaborate with welding engineering, production and quality teams to address welding-related issues. Prepare and Maintain training records and certification tracking. Lead skill assessments and qualification tests for welders Support audits and customer visits by showcasing welding training effectiveness. Mentor junior welders and promote a culture of continuous learning. Design training curriculum, assessments, and certification processes aligned with industry codes. Lead welder performance qualification programs and skill evaluations. Coordinate with Production, Welding Engineer, QC, and Outsourcing teams to address skill gaps and training needs * Promote digital tools (e.g., simulators, e?learning) for enhanced training effectiveness. Mentor training engineers and supervisors, fostering continuous improvement and knowledge sharing.
