We are hiring a Lead Web Application Engineer to own the frontend experience of modern, customer-facing platforms in the insurance and financial services space. This role is focused on building resilient, performant, and accessible web interfaces that handle complex workflows while remaining intuitive and fast.
You will take end-to-end ownership of frontend features--from technical design and implementation to optimization and long-term maintainability--working closely with product managers, designers, and backend teams in a distributed, high-trust engineering environment.

Key Responsibilities

Frontend Architecture & Development

Architect and implement scalable frontend solutions using

React,

Next.js

, and TypeScript

Design modular component systems and shared UI libraries to accelerate development across products.
Own complex frontend workflows and state management across multiple user journeys.
Drive technical decisions related to performance, rendering strategies, and application structure.

Product & UX Implementation

Translate product requirements and design systems into high-quality, production-ready interfaces.
Ensure pixel-perfect execution while maintaining accessibility and usability standards.
Continuously improve existing user experiences within insurance and financial applications.

Performance, Security & Reliability

Optimize rendering, routing, and data-fetching strategies for speed and reliability.
Implement secure client-side authentication and authorization flows.
Ensure cross-browser compatibility and consistent behavior across devices.

Integration & Collaboration

Integrate frontend applications with backend services via RESTful APIs and analytics platforms.
Collaborate with backend engineers to define contracts and improve API usability.
Partner with product and design teams to deliver features with strong business impact.

Engineering Excellence

Maintain high code quality through reviews, documentation, and testing practices.
Mentor junior engineers and contribute to frontend best practices across the team.
Stay up to date with modern frontend trends, tooling, and ecosystem advancements.

What You Bring

Strong experience building and scaling complex web applications.
Deep expertise in

React fundamentals

including hooks, composition patterns, and state architecture.
Hands-on experience with

Next.js

, including SSR, routing strategies, and performance optimization.
Proficiency in

TypeScript

, modern JavaScript, HTML, and CSS.
Practical experience with state management solutions (Redux, Zustand, Context-based patterns, etc.).
Solid understanding of frontend-backend integration and API-driven development.
Familiarity with modern build systems, CI pipelines, and version control workflows.
Strong sense of ownership and the ability to work independently in a remote-first setup.

Nice to Have

Experience building frontend systems for regulated domains such as insurance or fintech.
Exposure to design systems, component libraries, or frontend platform teams.
Knowledge of frontend observability, analytics, and performance monitoring tools.
Experience improving accessibility and compliance-driven UI requirements.
