Who We Are Looking For:
AGCO is looking to hire candidates for the position of Lead Technical Information.
The Lead Technical Information ensures high quality development of technical information for our farm equipment to meet the needs of our customers and the dealer technicians who support them. In addition to typical manager duties, in this career, you collaborate with your team to support the content authoring (thru a 3rd party) and the distribution of the technical information into various platforms. This includes editorial support and translations.
The Lead Technical Information will lead and drive the technical information team for the machines, components or digital products as assigned, globally. This includes but is not limited to: workshop manuals, operator manuals, knowledge objects, service bulletins, schematics and assembly instructions. The position will manage demand planning with the sites that is accurate and aligned to AGCO Major Product Introduction Process (AMPIP) requirements, milestones and budgets, in addition to other technical information demands. This position works closely with product management leads to address areas of concern and put in place mitigations, as needed, to ensure products can be shipped on time.
This position will also lead the technical information specialists at the sites in delivery of information required by third party content authors to meet quality standards, consistency standards, budget and timelines. In addition, the position will also support and direct the publication content to relevant customer facing platforms, ensuring technical information is accurate, complete and easy to find. The incumbent will be responsible for resolving of escalations from the users of this technical information on a timely basis. Additionally, the incumbent will manage site needs within the global systems and tools to ensure, for example, dictionaries are up to date with correct and approved terminology.
The Lead Technical Information will be a part of the Global Technical Information Leadership Team within the Global Customer Support Function. Therefore having input into the future strategies of planning, creating, delivering and managing AGCO's technical information on a global basis. This position will work closely with the Global Technical Information Leadership team in support of key Global processes. It is important to understand user needs and ensure future strategies address those needs.
What You Will Do:

• 
  Receive New Product Introduction (NPI) Notice and Project Charter from product management
• Request initial estimate from content creation provider in Project Management tools (ie. JIRA)
• Provide estimates for cost to AMPIP Project Lead
• Determine if updated quote is appropriate and escalate if not
• Lead and manage a team.
• Work with various stakeholders (engineering, product management, field service, training, etc) to ensure the information being supplied to content authors is complete and accurate.
• Manage global delivery of projects across different brands/regions/platforms
• Work with engineering, product management and other stakeholders globally to ensure information is available to authoring team on time and is accurate
• Manage Escalations and issues related to your assigned products/ projects.
• Work with project management and AMPIP to track project progress, provide updates and highlight risks etc.
• Drive process improvements, efficiencies and most important, drive high quality technical information that helps dealer technicians fix issues right the first time and helps our farmer customers safely and optimally operate our products.
• Support the global leadership of Technical Information in the design, development and implementation of future strategies.
• Support the Global Technical Information Leadership team on global process management as assigned.
• Track KPI for assigned products using AGCO standard KPI packs and support rectification processes as needed.
• Other duties and projects as assigned (Special Tools, Process improvement projects, Technology Products, etc).

What You Will Bring:

• 6-8 years of relevant business experience is required for the position

Who You Are:

• Bachelor degree with a specialization towards engineering, automotive or equivalent
• Alternatively an equivalent qualification in technical authoring with experience within an engineering business
• Good English skills (both written and spoken)
• Detail orientation
• Excellent interpersonal skills and communication skills
• Management skills
• Excellent at multi-tasking and technical acumen.
