The Lead Tax Accountant, Transfer Pricing and Planning will be responsible for working with the transfer pricing team in India and the United States. You will be a key player focusing on global transfer pricing compliance and documentation, analyzing tested party data for US GAAP and Local Statutory purposes, establishing proper intercompany pricing, and defending pricing strategies upon tax examinations within a global company. It will be important that you are a highly motivated self-starter who has experience in tax and financial modeling, specifically in developing and maintaining complex financial models. The Lead Tax Accountant, Transfer Pricing and Planning will stay current with all transfer pricing law changes for the US and OECD and are aligned with the transfer pricing methodologies applied by the Company. This person will work in collaboration with the global tax team to ensure that all foreign tax accounting/compliance for the Company is complete and accurate.
About You - experience, education, skills, and accomplishments
Bachelor's degree in business, economics, accounting, finance or related field. Advanced degree and/or C.P.A. certification is a plus;
Minimum of 5 years of experience focusing on transfer pricing and working in a global tax environment with transfer pricing.
Must possess superior organizational and documentation skills;
Strong communication (written and verbal), problem-solving, and decision-making skills;
Ability to understand and solicit business value drivers and to apply economic principles within taxing rules of various jurisdictions to arrive at efficient and compliant intercompany prices for various transactions;
Advanced Excel skills required;
Ability to operate independently as well as with a team on various projects;
Effective collaboration with direct manager and all other key stakeholders;
In depth understanding of US, OECD, and local country transfer pricing regulations;
Experience in NetSuite, Oracle (or other ERP); and
Advanced financial modeling, database, and research skills (i.e., Power Queries with Excel, Alteryx modeling, PowerBI data analytics).

What will you be doing in this role?
Develop and execute transfer pricing compliance, including gathering factual and financial information and supporting data requests from outside service providers and applying economic concepts to support intercompany charges;
Participation in functional interviews, gathering and analyzing intercompany financial data, and economic analysis supporting the preparation and review of presentations and documentation reports;
Updating key facts incorporated in transfer pricing analyses through written and oral communications;
Preparing complex financial analyses and models involving the intercompany transactions for the Company;
Partnering with Finance and IT to acquire an understanding of information systems and collect data to independently identify and analyze various aspects of intercompany transactions.
Collaboration with various groups within the Company, including but not limited to finance, indirect and direct tax, and tax teams globally to gain business understanding needed to execute the implementation, monitoring, and validation of the intercompany pricing policies;
Serve as a subject matter expect to ensure timely and accurate compliance with mandatory transfer pricing documentation requirements for the related entities (e.g., Country by Country notifications, Country by Country reports, Local Files/Transfer Pricing Documentation), including staying abreast of relevant regulations in primary jurisdictions;
Effectively communicate project plans and key achievements to internal partners including the tax and finance teams;
Staying up to date on global transfer pricing, international tax, indirect tax and internal business developments;
Advanced analytical and computer skills, including proficiency in Excel, Word and PowerPoint;
Detail-oriented individual who is self-motivated and takes ownership of projects; and
Ability to extract, analyze, and review data and make appropriate recommendations.
About the Team
The person will work in collaboration with the global tax team to ensure that all foreign tax accounting/compliance for the Company is complete and accurate.
Hours of Work
You will be expected to work on a work schedule (12 noon to 9pm IST) to provide for reasonable hours of collaborative work with the US team.
