Understand and execute techno-commercial strategies for CPO/BU/Site.
Contribute to organizational structure design and SOP development.
Implement strategic initiatives as per business plans.
2. Core Procurement
Review Purchase Requisitions (PR) for accuracy and completeness.
Decide procurement type and method based on urgency, material/service nature, and availability.
Conduct category analysis and prepare long-term demand projections and sourcing strategies.
3. Strategic Sourcing
Manage sourcing for CapEx, OpEx, bulk materials, and services.
Prepare RFI/RFP documents, identify and evaluate vendors, and conduct negotiations.
Finalize contracts and ensure compliance with governance protocols.
4. Contract & Order Management
Oversee contract preparation and ERP setup.
Manage procurement through rate contracts and ensure timely PO/SO issuance.
Handle post-order activities including amendments, logistics, and contract closure.
5. Supplier Management
Identify, onboard, and evaluate vendors based on performance criteria.
Establish strategic partnerships and drive vendor engagement for long-term value.
6. Data & Governance
Analyze procurement data for efficiency improvements.
Ensure adherence to governance, audit compliance, and risk management protocols.
7. Special Initiatives
Support M&A due diligence and provide commercial inputs for new business opportunities.
Manage fly ash business development and contracting (specific to Thermal category).
8. People Management
Set goals, review performance, and develop team capabilities.
Qualifications: Educational Qualification: ? Bachelor's degree in supply chain management/ economics/ finance/ operations/ engineering, or a related area Experiences: ? Minimum 5-10 years of relevant experience with category management supporting initiatives within designated areas ? Exposure to strategic sourcing processes, negotiating terms and conditions of high impact supply or service contracts, and managing vendor or supplier relationships ? Experience in working with eProcurementsystems and tools(SAP and other financial reporting tools, contract management tool, reverse auctions, etc.) ? Knowledge of the overall purchasing process,strategic sourcing, and procurement related systems and supplier relationship management ? Hands-on experience in executing contracts and entering into commercial transactions for Capital Goods of medium / large size Thermal / Infrastructure projects, Estimation and Cost Engineering ? Commercial understanding of the business drivers and their commercial implications ? Preferable to have worked in similar organization
