Job Title - Lead - Software Engineering - HOBS

The Purpose of This Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Lead Software Engineer to join our Fidelity Health HOBS team within Workplace Investing (WI). As a member of the HOBS Development team, you will design, develop, and own scalable and resilient solutions that powers HOBS platform capabilities. You will build and continuously enhance systems aligning with enterprise software development practices. This role empowers you to contribute across the full development lifecycle while collaborating with multi-functional teams.

Technical

Database Design

: Strong SQL and PL/SQL programming skills, database concepts, performance tuning i.e. RDBMS, ORD, ODS and Schema Design and Modeling skills

UNIX/LINUX:

Strong shell programming skills

Java

: Designs and develops scalable Restful and SOAP API's using Spring Boot

Data/ Integration:

Strong in integration and data handling - Data Migration and ETL Knowledge/ Webservices and API

Release Management

: Strong release and deployment skills

System Design

: Supplies to component and system-level design

Security Practices

: Implements secure development practices

Dev Assist Tools

: Familiar with GitHub Copilot, Gemini for code reviews and refactoring

Mentorship & Collaboration

: Mentors junior engineers, collaborates across teams

The Skills that are Good to Have for this role

Exposure to the US healthcare Payor domain is preferred

The Expertise We're Looking For

Bachelor's degree - Degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems with 4-8 years experience Proficiency in PLSQL, Java Experience with enterprise grade distributed application and support
