As a Lead Software Engineer in Test at JPMorgan Chase in the Corporate & Investment Banking\'s Global Investment & Corporate Banking business, your role will be to help the team to understand the how and what\'s they should be testing as we move forward in delivering our transformation. You will bring a unique perspective to the team. You will be contributing continuously to evaluate and innovate to improve our testing approach including our test frameworks and tooling. You will develop new testing infrastructure/strategies to fulfil given requirements (functional, performance etc.). Working with L3 Support and the engineers you will help to troubleshoot issues across the stack and identify gaps in our testing that can be filled.

You will be coaching and mentoring the engineers, designers, and product to improve their approach and implementation of tests.

Job responsibilities

• Design and develop automation test framework for validation of the application.
• Own our testing infrastructure and continuously improve our solution.
• Understand the flow of code and how it interacts with different components.
• Implement test tools and frameworks that help us release with confidence.
• Work with teams to understand test automation gaps and implement coverage.
• Work towards embedding testing within our CI/CD practices.
• Coordinate testing efforts across teams to ensure delivery of high-quality features.

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills.

• Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 5+ years applied experience
• 10+ years of hands-on experience in Selenium, Cucumber, Cypress, Java, Spring Boot, Micro services
• Deep understanding of BDD / TDD - Behavior Driven Development/ Test Driven Development
• Hands-on experience in Performance Test Automation using tools like JMeter.
• Hands-on experience with CI/CD (Jenkins, Maven, Gradle)
• Must have experience with API Test Automation, Auto IT and Shadow DOM
• Experience in collaborating in agile development methodologies and pipeline management.

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills

• Good knowledge of industry-wide technology trends and best practices
• Experience with Cloud Technologies, Docker and Kubernetes is a plus.
• Capable of conducting Functional and Regression test review sessions and provide tailored guidance to teams.
• Experience in assessing and assisting teams with Test frameworks design, documentation, management, and quality.
