This role in summary

We are looking for a talented Lead Software Developer / Scrum Master to join an advanced software development team within the Global SES organization at Whirlpool. You will be part of a global team responsible for leading software development with cross-functional teams for Whirlpool's cooking portfolio products.

Your responsibilities will include

--------------------------------------

Facilitate the team's Scrum ceremonies, i.e. Sprint Planning, Daily Scrum, Sprint Review, Sprint Retrospective, Backlog grooming. Guiding the team on how to get the most out of self-organization. Guiding the team on the Agile Scrum methodology in order to constantly improve the Scrum team's standards of work. Managing relationships and communicating progress with Software leadership and stakeholders, and cross-fucntional partners. Assisting with internal and external communication, improving transparency, and radiating information Removing impediments or guiding the team to remove impediments by finding the right personnel to remove the impediment. Identify opportunities for process improvements and drive those from idea to implementation. Ability to support technical (Zephyr OS/ SDKs/Android/ iOS / Cloud) teams. Ability to manage multiple, cross-functional, and cross-regional teams.

Minimum requirements

Bachelor's / Masters Degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or Electrical Engineering

Preferred skills and experiences

TECHNICAL

6+ years of application/embedded software development experience 3+ years of experience leading software projects as a Scrum Master Must be a certified Scrum Master and/or Product Owner Expert in planning complex projects using Jira Strong knowledge of software architectures and object-oriented programming Solid understanding of MQTT, BLE, and other connectivity protocols Proficient in code versioning tools, such as Git and Jenkins (CI/CD, DevOps) Familiarity with continuous integration and testing Understanding of UML and SysML

MANAGERIAL

Excellent problem-solving skills Excellent written and verbal communication skills A passion for leading projects from planning til closure, Passionate toward developing peoples through mentoring/ coaching A collaborative attitude and a strong desire to succeed as part of the team. Exposure/experience of working in a global engineering team environment Team player, flexibility in adapting to quickly changing business tasks and project priorities.
