WHY THIS ROLE IS IMPORTANT TO US
Agile ways of working are key for SimCorp's success, and in the Transactions & Private Debt product area we are building up a scrum team that needs a Senior DevOps Software Engineer who can be an essential part of the team. We're looking for a DevOps with a passion for cloud technologies and a strong background in Azure to join our new scrum team. You'll play a critical role in designing, implementing, and maintaining the infrastructure that powers our fintech platform, ensuring it is robust, scalable, and secure.
You will become part of the Transactions product area within SimCorp's Product Division, responsible for delivering functionality that enables clients to make investment decisions with our back-office applications.
The Transactions & Private Debt product area consists of four teams, each with four to seven software engineers across several geographical locations.
The new team will mainly consist of team members on-site in Noida, and as Senior DevOps Software Engineer you will therefore work closely together with other team members both on-site in Noida, as well as with team members from other locations (in Europe). Your job will be to contribute with your Azure knowledge and skills to ensure high quality in the backend frameworks and pipeline parts of our solutions.
WHAT YOU WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR

• Lead end-to-end design and development of backend systems using C#/.NET
• Architect scalable, secure, and high-performance cloud-native solutions (Azure).
• Mentor and guide a team of engineers through code reviews, technical planning, and agile practices.
• Collaborate with product managers, DevOps, and front-end engineers to deliver full-stack features.
• Ensure code quality and system reliability through unit testing, integration testing, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Drive technical discussions and decision-making aligned with long-term business goals.
• Be proactive in improving automation, tools, frameworks, etc.
• Identify bottlenecks and bugs and devise solutions to these problems.
• Utilize code versioning tools such as Git for version control.
• Work within a continuous integration environment to ensure smooth and reliable deployment of applications.
• Require excellent business and communication skills, and to be able to understand client specific requirements.

YOUR QUALIFICATION

• 5+ years of experience in a DevOps or Cloud Engineering role.
• Strong expertise in Microsoft Azure (compute, networking, storage, identity).
• Hands-on experience with IaC (Bicep preferred).
• Proficiency with CI/CD tools like GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, or Jenkins.
• Familiarity with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) and monitoring tools (Prometheus, Grafana, Azure Monitor).
• Knowledge of scripting languages such as PowerShell, Bash, or Python.
• You also have experience writing automated tests for quality gates - ideally with a TDD approach
• Excellent troubleshooting skills and responsiveness to problem-solving that prioritizes the customer experience first
• On top of the technical skills, you bring a can-do attitude with a positive and constructive approach to managing and solving challenges
• You thrive in projects where the boundaries, scope, and goals are adjusted as we go and keep a constant eye out for better ways of working and new ideas to maximize business impact
• You have excellent English skills in both writing and speaking
