Job Summary:

AMP Technology is looking for a hands-on Lead Software Engineer (MERN Stack) to guide a small development team while actively contributing to coding and technical decision-making. This role is ideal for a strong senior engineer ready to step into leadership, without heavy people-management overhead.

Key Responsibilities:

Act as a

technical lead for MERN stack projects

. Design, develop, and review high-quality React and Node.js code

Guide 2-6 developers

through code reviews, best practices, and mentoring Break down requirements into technical tasks and execution plans Own backend APIs, database design, and frontend architecture

Ensure code quality, performance, and scalability

Collaborate closely with Product, QA, and business stakeholders Identify and resolve technical blockers early Support hiring interviews and on-boarding when required
Required Skills & Qualifications:

Strong hands-on experience with

MongoDB, Express.js, React.js, NextJS and Node.js

Experience building

REST APIs

and backend services Solid understanding of React hooks, component design, and state management Practical knowledge of

MongoDB schema design and indexing

Familiarity with authentication mechanisms such as JWT and role-based access Experience using

Git

and standard development workflows Exposure to

Agile/Scrum

methodologies

Prior experience as a Senior Engineer, Module Lead, or Tech Lead

Good communication and problem-solving skills
Nice to Have:

Experience with AWS or similar cloud platforms Knowledge of TypeScript. Basic understanding of Docker or CI/CD pipelines

Startup or product-based company experience

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹18,000.00 - ₹22,000.00 per month
