We are seeking a

Lead Software Engineer

specializing in Java, Microservices and Kubernetes to drive the design and development of scalable backend services and enterprise APIs.


This role offers the opportunity to architect robust solutions, mentor engineering teams and shape the technical roadmap for high-impact platforms in a cloud-native environment.

Responsibilities

Lead the design and development of high-availability backend services and enterprise-grade APIs using Java and Spring Boot Architect and maintain a federated GraphQL API layer for multiple client applications Utilize Python for scripting, automation or supporting secondary services in a polyglot environment Write clean, testable and maintainable code with a focus on quality and operational excellence Provide monitoring visibility to technical and operational health using tools like DataDog Own the technical roadmap from architecture and design to deployment and monitoring in Google Cloud Platform environments, especially GKE and Pub/Sub Mentor engineers and promote best practices in API design, event-driven architecture, DDD and TDD Collaborate with frontend, product and platform teams to deliver cohesive end-to-end solutions

Requirements

8 to 12 years of professional backend engineering experience Expertise in Java and modern frameworks such as Spring Boot Proven experience building, scaling and maintaining GraphQL APIs with tools like Apollo Federation or DGS Knowledge of Python for scripting or backend tasks Strong understanding of microservice architectures, API-first design principles and distributed systems Background in event-driven architectures, DDD and TDD Proficiency in building and deploying scalable applications on cloud platforms with experience in Kubernetes

Nice to have

Familiarity with Google Cloud Platform, especially Google Kubernetes Engine Experience with relational databases such as PostgreSQL and non-relational databases like Redis Skills in system monitoring using tools like DataDog Capability to leverage modern IDEs and AI-assisted development tools such as Cursor or GitHub Copilot to accelerate development cycles
