As a Lead Software Engineer at JPMorgan Chase within the Consumer and community banking - API Marketplace, you serve as a seasoned member of an agile team to design and deliver trusted market-leading technology products in a secure, stable, and scalable way. You are responsible for carrying out critical technology solutions across multiple technical areas within various business functions in support of the firm's business objectives.


Job responsibilities

Lead and develop high-quality software applications. Define and document software architecture, including system components, interfaces, and data flows. Guide development teams in implementing software solutions. Review code and design to ensure alignment with architectural vision. Mentor and coach developers on best practices and design patterns. Work with product managers, business analysts, and other stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into technical solutions. Research, evaluate, and recommend new technologies, frameworks, and tools. Oversee integration, testing, and deployment strategies. Design systems for scalability, reliability, and performance.



Required qualifications, capabilities and skills

Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 5+ years applied experience Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field. Proficiency in multiple programming languages and frameworks such as: Java, Python, React JS, Spring, Kafka, Elastic Search, Kubernetes. Deep understanding of software design patterns, principles, and best practices. Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and DevOps practices. Experience with Cloud Infrastructure Provisioning Tools like Terraform, Cloud Formation etc. Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools like Dynatrace, Grafana, Splunk, Prometheus Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
