As a Lead Software Engineer at JPMorgan Chase Consumer and Community Banking, the Customer Acquisition and Marketing Platforms (CAMP) team is a portfolio of products that connect people to the financial products and services that best fit their needs. You are an integral part of an agile team that works to enhance, build, and deliver trusted market-leading technology products in a secure, stable, and scalable way. As a core technical contributor, you are responsible for conducting critical technology solutions across multiple technical areas within various business functions in support of the firm\'s business objectives.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Executes creative software solutions, design, development, and technical troubleshooting with ability to think beyond routine or conventional approaches to build solutions or break down technical problems
  • Develops secure and high-quality production code, and reviews and debugs code written by others
  • Identifies opportunities to eliminate or automate remediation of recurring issues to improve overall operational stability of software applications and systems
  • Leads communities of practice across Software Engineering to drive awareness and use of new and leading-edge technologies
  • Participate in design and develop scalable and resilient systems in a timely manner using Java or Python and JavaScript to contribute to continual, iterative improvements for product teams
  • Design, write, comment and unit test code to confirm software modules are of the highest quality
  • Build Microservices that will run on the bank\'s internal cloud and the public cloud platform
  • Build UI using React, write test cases and deploy
  • Partner with the Scrum Master to lead our team in breaking down complex Features/Stories into well understood and achievable tasks
  • Be an active developer and contributor to the team\'s delivery. Take the lead on solving and implementing difficult technology challenges and drive our team to successful delivery
Required Qualifications, Capabilities and Skills:
  • Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 5+ years applied experience
  • Hands-on development experience delivering system design, application development, testing, and operational stability
  • Overall 10+ years of experience, with 4+ years of hand-on development experience using IIB
  • Advanced understanding of agile methodologies such as CI/CD, Applicant Resiliency, and Security
  • Demonstrated proficiency in software applications and technical processes within a technical discipline (e.g., cloud, artificial intelligence, machine learning, mobile, etc.)
  • Practical cloud native experience
  • Proficient in both web development domains: the front end/UI development and the back end development
Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills:
  • Passionate about experimenting with new ideas and comfortable with failure as part of a collaborative/empowered team working towards organizational goals, and eager to build an innovative culture
  • Experience with creating and influencing Domain Driven Design and implementation approach
  • Strong interpersonal and communication (written and verbal) skills, and the ability to present ideas, thoughts, and information clearly
  • Possess strong communication, critical thinking, and creative problem-solving skills
