Boeing India Engineering is looking for Lead Software Engineer to design software for the next generation avionics system. the candidate will be responsible for the designing the building blocks for the avionics systems. Your primary role will be to define the software requirements, perform trade studies, and evaluate alternate designs to propose the most optimal software solutions for future avionics systems. Software Architects will apply interdisciplinary, collaborative approach to design, develop and verify next generation software for avionics systems. The candidate will perform various analyses to optimize software architecture addressing safety, reliability, maintainability, human systems integration, system security, regulatory and certification needs. Position Responsibilities: Designing the building blocks for the avionics systems. Define High Level and Low-Level Software requirements. Derive / Define software specifications from industry standards, aircraft level requirements, concept specifications, and trade studies Perform trade studies, and evaluate alternate designs to propose the most optimal software solutions for future avionics systems. Coordinating and communicating regularly with experts in Boeing organizations around the world. Estimate Code, test software development effort. Ensure SW architecture and Design is per the Software requirements. Apply interdisciplinary, collaborative approach to design, develop and verify next generation software for avionics systems. Perform peer review on System and Software Requirements, Design and Test. Support SRR (Systems Requirements Review), PDR (Preliminary Design Reviews), CDR (Critical Design Reviews), TRR (Test Readiness Review) and Formal Qualification. Support project management by providing periodic status and required metrics data. Be a great teammate in the agile team. Should possess excellent communications skills to participate in Requirement/Design/Code/Test reviews, have a thorough understanding of version control and software quality attributes, such as testability, portability and maintainability, and enjoy a dedicated and collaborative development approach. Be dynamic and support management and leads to ensure successful product deliveries. Identify, communicate and mitigate the Risk, issues and Opportunities on a timely manner. Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience): Bachelor, Master or equivalent degree preferably in Engineering is required Strong fundamentals in Real-time Operating Systems kernel level allocations, etc. Experience in DO-178C, DO-254, DO-160, SAE ARP 4754, SAE ARP 4761, ARINC 661 Experience in developing avionics interface control specifications Ability to interface and interact with various collaborators, customers, pilots to capture requirements Experience with Model Based Design / Systems Engineering will be an added advantage Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, very meticulous, patient and congenial Excellent verbal and written communication, collaboration, reporting, analytical, and problem-solving skills Candidate must be a self-starter with a positive demeanor, high ethics, and a track record of working optimally under pressure in a time-constrained environment. Develop and maintain relationships / partnerships with customers, collaborators, peers, and partners to develop collaborative plans andcompleten projects. Proactively seek information and direction to optimally complete the statement of work.
