Providence Global Centre recently launched in Hyderabad, India as Global Capability Centre for Providence looking to leverage the India talent to help meet our global vision and scale our Information Services and products to the world of Cloud. As a ServiceNow Platform Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, configuring, and implementing solutions on the ServiceNow platform. Your primary objective will be to ensure the optimal performance, reliability, and scalability of the ServiceNow platform while meeting the business requirements of the organization. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, including ITSM, ITOM, HR, and other module teams, to streamline processes and enhance overall efficiency using ServiceNow technologies. Relevant E xperience 8-10 years . Responsibilities ServiceNow Development: Design, configure, and customize ServiceNow modules and applications to meet business needs, including Service Catalog, Incident Management, Change Management, Problem Management, Asset Management, and other IT Service Management (ITSM) processes. Integration and Automation: Integrate ServiceNow with other enterprise systems, tools, and third-party applications. Develop and maintain automation workflows to streamline processes and enhance overall efficiency. Platform Maintenance: Monitor and maintain the health, performance, and security of the ServiceNow platform. Apply patches, upgrades, and enhancements in a timely manner to ensure system stability and optimal functionality. Incident Resolution: Provide timely support and resolution for platform-related incidents and issues. Troubleshoot and resolve technical problems, escalating to higher-level support if necessary. Requirements Gathering: Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather and analyze requirements for new functionalities or improvements to existing processes. Translate business needs into technical specifications and implement them on the platform. Training and Knowledge Sharing: Conduct training sessions and workshops for end-users and team members to promote platform adoption and share knowledge about ServiceNow best practices. Documentation and Training: Create and maintain comprehensive technical documentation, including system architecture, workflows, and configuration details. Provide training and knowledge transfer to end-users and colleagues as needed. Best Practices and Standards: Stay up to date with ServiceNow best practices, industry trends, and emerging technologies. Implement and enforce coding and development standards to ensure consistency and maintainability. Security and Compliance: Implement security measures and adhere to industry best practices to ensure data protection and compliance with relevant regulations and company policies. Performance Optimization: Monitor platform performance and identify areas for improvement. Optimize configurations and conduct performance tuning to enhance the overall user experience. Collaboration and Communication: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including IT, business units, and vendors, to ensure successful delivery of projects and ongoing support for the platform. Communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Skills Bachelor\'s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Proven experience as a ServiceNow Platform Engineer or similar role. ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA) and other relevant certifications are preferred. Proficient in ServiceNow development, including scripting (JavaScript, Glide), workflow configuration, and UI customization. Strong understanding of ITSM processes and best practices. Experience with ServiceNow integrations using REST APIs, SOAP, and MID Server. Knowledge of database concepts, data structures, and SQL queries. Familiarity with ITIL and IT Service Management principles. Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues. Project management experience is a plus. Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with various teams and stakeholders. Ability to adapt quickly to changes and work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
