Lead SDE/Sr. Lead SDE - UI Development

About OCS group @BARCO

OCS (Operator Collaborative Solutions) group provides solutions to various video wall solutions where software applications drive the large video walls and operator applications. These solutions are used in various markets such as control room, network operation centers and various collaboration solutions. As part of new strategic initiatives, we are working on next gen products using cutting edge technologies. The product is being developed in collaboration with multiple sites using agile methodology and best engineering practices like CI/CD, TDD etc. UI is being developed using JavaScript stack (Angular, NodeJS).

About the Role

As a Senior UI Developer, you will be building multiple UI applications using Angular 13+ and other JavaScript frameworks in a fast paced, collaborative environment. You will also be contributing to the product unit testing, UI/UX design, giving input to product management with new ideas of the features that product may have. Being a senior UI developer, you will be involved in the peer code review and other engineering practices that produce quality deliverables in a agile team.

• Developing back end website applications
• Creating servers and databases for functionality
• Ensuring responsiveness of applications
• Working alongside graphic designers for web design features
• Seeing through a project from conception to finished product
• Designing and developing APIs
• Meeting both technical and consumer needs

About the Successful Candidate

A successful candidate is expected to be having strong technical background through education and handson experience on various technologies comprising JavaScript, TypeScript, Angular, NodeJS. The candidate must have a proven background and track record of understanding and developing complex UI workflows involving devices.

Preferred Skills and Experience

• B.Tech./B.E/M.Tech in computer science or equivalent stream
• 5 - 8 years of experience working in an R&D environment
• Excellent interpersonal, communication skills
• Excellent team players
• Attitue to learn new skill and work on stretched goals

Must have skills

• Strong hands on experience working with various Angular version 13+
• Strong hands on experience in building/designing angular libraries
• Hands on experience working with HTML 5, CSS 3
• Able to understand and contribute into client-side and server-side architecture artifacts
• Able to develop front-end of applications through appealing visual design (wireframes)
• Strong hands on experience working with Security practices like XSS, CORS, HTTPS, XSRF and more
• Strong hands on experience with Unit testing frameworks like Jest, Jasmine, Mocha
• Strong hands on experience with e2e testing tools like Protector and Selenium or similar
• Strong hands on understanding Frontend application Security
• Handson development experience working with microservices
• Experince in designing and developing ReST APIs & It’s security

Skills nice to have

• Should have working knowelge of Python
• Should have working experience with databases e.g. PostgreSQL/MySQL/Mongo
• Working knowedlge of CI,CD using Jenkins pipeline
• Networking knowledge
