We are looking for an experienced

Lead SAP Technical Architect

.


We are seeking a highly skilled SAP Mid-Level Basis Technical Architect with expertise in Azure cloud hosting to drive and support SAP landscape. The ideal candidate will design, implement, and manage SAP Basis infrastructure tailored to the stringent security, compliance, and performance requirements of the aerospace and defense sector. You will lead SAP Basis operations on Microsoft Azure, ensuring high availability, scalability, and robust disaster recovery.

Position Responsibilities:

Architect and manage SAP Application Landscape hosted on Microsoft Azure, including SAP S/4HANA, ECC, BW, and other SAP systems. Design SAP system landscapes with a focus on security, compliance (e.g., ITAR, NIST), and performance specific to Aerospace and Defense industry standards. Lead SAP system installations, upgrades, patching, and migrations in Azure cloud environments. Implement and manage SAP HANA database administration and performance tuning on Azure. Collaborate with cloud infrastructure, network, and security teams to ensure SAP systems meet aerospace industry regulatory requirements. Develop and enforce SAP Basis best practices, automation, and governance aligned with Aerospace and Defense policies. Manage SAP security administration, including user roles, authorizations, and compliance audits. Oversee SAP system monitoring, backup, disaster recovery, and business continuity planning on Azure. Utilize Azure-native tools and services (e.g., Azure Monitor, Azure Automation, Azure Security Center) to optimize SAP operations. Provide technical leadership and mentorship to Basis and cloud operations teams. Stay current with SAP Basis, Azure cloud technologies, and Aerospace & Defense industry trends.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

A Bachelor's degree or higher is required as a BASIC QUALIFICATION 10-12 years of SAP, enterprise BASIS experience 10+ years of SAP Basis experience with at least 2 years managing SAP on Microsoft Azure. Experience with Release Transport Management , Landscape maintenance , Expertise in Linux/Unix and Windows operating systems on Azure & FINOPS

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

SAP HANA certified, SAP Migration certified, Cloud infrastructure technology certification such as Azure Strong expertise in SAP NetWeaver, SAP S/4HANA Basis, and SAP HANA database administration. Hands-on experience with SAP system installations, upgrades, migrations, and patching in Azure environments. Proficiency in Azure cloud services, including virtual machines, networking, storage, and security. Knowledge of Aerospace and Defense industry compliance standards such as ITAR, NIST, and related cybersecurity frameworks. Experience with SAP Solution Manager, Azure Automation, and monitoring tools. Strong scripting skills (PowerShell, Python, Shell) for automation and orchestration. Excellent problem-solving, communication, and leadership skills. SAP Basis and/or Azure certifications are highly desirable. Experience with containerization (Docker) and orchestration (Kubernetes) in SAP environments. Familiarity with ITIL processes, Agile methodologies, and DevOps practices. Knowledge of hybrid cloud architectures and integration with on-premises SAP systems.

Typical Education & Experience:

Education/experience typically acquired through advanced education (e.g. Bachelor), 12 to 16 years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
