Your Role and Responsibilities
Who you are:
As a Lead SAP Solution Architect, you are part of the IBM Ecosystem Lab where you are responsible to combine SAP technologies with IBM, Red Hat and other technologies. You are a hands-on technical resource responsible to assemble innovative solutions based on IBM, Red Hat technology or containerized microservices (e.g. with Open Source) and integrated it with SAP software. The main focus is to design and implement state of the art architectural appraoches in a cloud-based Side-by-Side manner with a SAP Core. That is why a deep understanding and hands on technological background in SAP application architecture with its interfaces and middleware and general integration between SAP and other technologies is required. You will be working closely with experts of the Ecosystem Lab in India as well as the IBM SAP CTO and the IBM Innovation Center for SAP Solutions in Walldorf and owning the architecture of the projects. You gather customer requirements and then integrate, set up and test the choosen stack in a PoC-type of engagement for focus accounts, including building a prototype / MVP. The new solutions will be featured in the demo environment of the IBM Innovation Center for SAP Solutions in Walldorf or support pilots for client projects.
Your Role and Responsibilities :

• Lead the SAP team of developers at the IBM Ecosystem Lab in Ahmedabad and work closely with the IBM Innovation Center for SAP Solutions in Walldorf and the IBM SAP CTO to master, design & develop and provide implementation guidance for state of the art contemporary solutions based on IBM, Red Hat and other technology integrated with SAP Business Technology Platform, SAP S/4HANA & SAP LoB / SaaS solutions
• Coordinate, test, and validate the IBM, Red Hat an other Software solution development with your team and colleagues of the IBM Innovation Center in Walldorf. Hands-on develop the integration part with the SAP Software Solutions for the purpose of public demonstration, customer evaluation and IBM customer proof-of-concepts. Your role in this area will include remotely supporting IBM customer and IBM Partner proofs-of-concepts and demonstrations; as well as providing guidance and counsel to others who might be doing the same with their customers.
• Provide advanced technical support to IBM Sales and Consulting teams in the architectural design, capacity planning, operations and life cycle management, and test/validation of GA level software solutions that combine technologies from IBM and Red Hat, IBM Cloud and IBM Hybrid Cloud platform capabilities with SAP software capabilities.
• Communicate feedback and requirements to IBM development teams, based on lessons learnt from your work, regarding the IBM SAP integrated software environments you assemble, test, validate and demonstrate.
• Your role will include documenting the solution design, architecture, and functional and performance capabilities of these IBM SAP solutions that you built and integrate.
• Set up customer-ready demo of the new solution to be featured in the IBM Innovation Center for SAP Solutions.

• Bachelor’s degree in business, computer science, computer engineering, or related fields at time of application

• 8+ years of SAP integration programming / development experience

• Team lead experience
• Knowledge about modern ABAP programming models (RAP,CAP)

About Business Unit The Ecosystem Lab for SAP is seeking candidates for the role of a leading SAP Solution Architect. We are looking for hands-on technical resources responsible to design, architect, develop and validate solutions that combine IBM and Red Hat technologies and IBM Hybrid Cloud platform capabilities with SAP. As Lead SAP Solution Architect, you supplement SAP S/4HANA architectures with Robotics, Industry 4.0, Blockchain, IoT, Cloud, Watson / Cognitive Technologies and Data Analytics solutions from IBM, including technical implementation and POCs for the newly designed solutions.
