Safety Officer - Building Construction (NRL Project, Assam)

Assam (NRL Project Site)

Salary Range:

?50,000 - ?58,000 per month (depending on interview & last drawn salary)

Qualification & Experience

Degree in Engineering / Technology / Architecture with

minimum 7-8 years

of safety supervisory experience in

building / industrial / infrastructure construction

OR

Degree or 1-Year Diploma in Industrial Safety (AICTE / State Technical Board recognized) with

construction safety exposure

Alternate Qualification (Statutory):

B.Sc. (Physics or Chemistry) + Degree / Diploma in Industrial Safety with

minimum 7-8 years

experience in construction / industrial projects

Mandatory:

Proven safety experience in

CPWD / PSU / Large Industrial Projects

Working knowledge of

CPWD Safety Codes, IS Standards, BOCW Act

, and statutory safety norms Knowledge of

local language (Hindi)

preferred

Key Responsibilities

Implement and monitor safety systems as per CPWD, IS Codes, BOCW Act, and statutory requirements Conduct site safety inspections, audits, and risk assessments Organize safety training, toolbox talks, and worker awareness programs Ensure PPE compliance and safe work practices at all construction stages Investigate accidents, near misses, and unsafe acts; prepare reports and CAPA Coordinate with project managers, engineers, contractors, and NRL representatives Maintain safety records, permits, checklists, and statutory documentation Promote a proactive safety culture across the site

Skills Required

Strong construction safety knowledge Hands-on site safety implementation experience Good communication and training skills Strong documentation and reporting ability Ability to handle workers and contractors effectively
