Your Impact:
OpenText is the market leader in Enterprise Information Management platforms and applications. The division is seeking an experienced Software Engineer who shares our passion for developing and maintaining the Enterprise Capture product line. OpenText's Capture solutions are deployed both on premise and in the cloud. OpenText Capture technology transforms digital and paper business documents into application-ready information providing a flexible, end-to-end capture solution that includes document capture, classification, data extraction, information validation, and delivery to line of business or backend systems.
What the role offers:

• Lead, mentor, and grow a team of QA engineers (manual and automation).
• Define and implement QA processes, test strategies, and best practices across projects.
• Collaborate with Product Owners, Developers, and DevOps to ensure comprehensive test coverage and timely delivery.
• Develop, maintain, and scale automated test frameworks and tools for UI, API, and performance testing.
• Review and approve test plans, test cases, and test scripts.
• Track and analyze quality metrics and KPIs (e.g., defect leakage, test coverage, automation effectiveness).
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance quality, productivity, and efficiency.
• Participate in code reviews and provide feedback on testability, security, and performance.
• Own and manage the defect lifecycle, ensuring quick turnaround and resolution.
• Independently performing automation design, scripting, and maintenance of a test script/environment

Planning test and diagnostic programs, designing test fixtures and equipment, conducting tests, completing specifications and procedures for products, and documenting results of tests. * Debugging software products through the use of systematic tests to develop, apply, and maintain quality standards for company products.
Act as a point of contact for all QA-related activities in release planning and post-release support.
What you need to succeed:

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field.
• 8+ years of overall QA experience with at least 2+ years in a QA lead or similar leadership role.
• Strong understanding of software QA methodologies, tools, and processes (Agile, Scrum, CI/CD).
• Proficiency in test automation tools (e.g., Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, JUnit/TestNG).
• Hands-on experience with API testing tools (e.g., Postman, RestAssured), DB testing.
• Experience with performance and load testing tools (e.g., JMeter, LoadRunner).
• Solid scripting or programming knowledge (e.g., Java, Python, JavaScript).
• Familiarity with DevOps tools and environments (e.g., Jenkins, Docker, Git, Kubernetes).
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills with an ability to influence stakeholders.
• Knowledge of ALM tool such as Jira, etc.
• Possess strong problem solving skills, right attitude to debug and do RCA.
• Passion for quality
