As a Lead Quality Assurance & E-file Analyst, you will ensure the accuracy and quality of GoSystem, OneSource, and UltraTax income tax products by testing, analyzing, and validating software features and e-file outputs.
About the Role:
In this opportunity as a Lead Quality Assurance & E-file Analyst, you will:
Ensure the team performs quality assurance across all projects and secures timely approvals.
Oversee resource allocation to guarantee that XSD schemas are properly mapped and tested, resulting in high-quality XML output.
Ensure the product is approved for production on schedule, proactively identifying potential failures and planning corrective actions.
Review team deliverables including sign-off sheets, issue trackers, ADO tickets, and provide timely updates to developers and the e-file coordinator.
Monitor project progress regularly and alert the team at key phases to ensure successful completion.
Demonstrate proficiency in project management and consistently meet deadlines.
Track and resolve both personal and team ADO tickets within the defined timeframes.
Ensure all issues/bugs logged in the issue tracker are addressed promptly and updates are communicated to US developers.
Maintain accurate tracking of project completion status and provide regular updates to the US e-file coordinator.
Evaluate designs, specifications, and processes from a customer perspective through thorough product testing.
Assist in the creation and enforcement of product and performance documentation and standards.
Develop test plans, write and implement test scripts, and generate reports and metrics to communicate testing outcomes.
Identify team training needs related to product development and arrange appropriate sessions.
Analyse project data to assess time requirements and resource planning.
Independently manage all India-assigned projects, including identifying and addressing training gaps.
Propose process improvements and contribute to continuous enhancement initiatives.
Track individual team member performance, provide mentoring, and support career development.
Make informed product release recommendations and troubleshoot system features and functionality.
Work effectively in a dynamic environment with aggressive deadlines.
Maintain positive working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
Coordinate with the e-file coordinator to schedule regular Teams and TP meetings.
About You:
You're a fit for the role of Lead Quality Assurance & E-file Analyst, if you have
6-10 years of experience in preparing US tax returns (1040, 1120, 1041, 1065, 709, 706, 990).
Proficient in US tax technical knowledge and familiar with relevant forms.
Possess strong knowledge of quality assurance testing, manual testing, and US tax technical skills.
Exhibit leadership skills including performance management, conflict resolution, recognising achievements, providing feedback, and organising development plans.
Capable of managing a team of 8+ members and handling associated administrative tasks.
Participate in team and cross-departmental meetings.
Prepare and conduct training sessions for co-workers.
Demonstrate strong written and oral communication skills, including participation in regular Teams calls with US management.
