Role Overview

As the Lead Product Designer at CodeRabbit.ai, you'll shape how developers interact with AI-powered code reviews, creating seamless experiences across IDEs, git platforms, and web interfaces. You'll lead design strategy and build design systems that scale across our product suite.####

Key Responsibilities

Lead the end-to-end design process from research to implementation for our AI code platform Build and maintain a comprehensive design system that works across multiple platforms (Web, IDE extensions, Git platforms) Mentor junior designers and establish design best practices and processes Partner with engineering and product teams to define and improve the developer experience Create information architecture for complex technical data and AI-generated insights Lead user research initiatives to deeply understand developer workflows and pain points Design clear visualizations for code quality metrics and AI recommendations ####

Qualifications

5-8 years of total experience, with most of that in product design Strong portfolio demonstrating experience with developer tools or technical products Deep understanding of developer workflows, tools, and pain points Experience creating and maintaining design systems at scale Proven track record of shipping complex technical products Strong skills in modern design tools (Figma, etc.) Experience with information architecture and technical data visualization Excellent communication skills and ability to articulate design decisions

Experience at developer-focused companies (e.g., GitHub, Postman, Hasura) Background in or strong understanding of software development Experience designing IDE extensions or developer tools Knowledge of git workflows and code review processes Experience designing AI/ML-powered interfaces Contributions to open source design systems Experience with motion design and micro-interactions
