Senior Electrical power systems Engineer- Electrical CoE Discipline
Location: Cyient Locations in Finland ( Vaasa or Pietarsaari )
About the Role: We are seeking a highly skilled Engineer for the Electrical Center of Excellence (CoE) discipline to join our Plant Engineering unit. This pivotal role involves overseeing technical project management and engineering activities within the Electrical disciplines power system area . As a power system Engineer, you will collaborate with colleagues and customers globally, contributing to exciting project deliveries across various industries
Key Responsibilities
The candidate will lead and execute studies in the following areas:

• Load Flow & Network Analysis
• Dynamic & Stability Studies
• Protection & Coordination
• Renewable Energy Integration
• Power Quality Studies
• Transient & Electromagnetic Studies
• EV & Energy Storage Impact
• Regulatory/ Grid Compliance

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor's/Master's in Electrical Engineering (Power Systems specialization preferred).
• Fluent in spoken and written English , Finnish or Swedish is an added advantage.
• Presentation skills
• Problem-solving and decision-making
• Project Management skills is seen as an advantage
• Experience: 5+ years in power system studies and modeling.
• Technical Expertise:

• Proficiency in DIgSILENT PowerFactory, ETAP, PSSE, PSCAD.
• Strong programming skills in MATLAB and/or Python for automation and custom analysis is added advantage
• Knowledge Areas:

• Transmission & distribution system planning.
• Renewable integration and grid compliance.
• Protection systems and coordination.
• Power quality and stability analysis.
• Soft Skills: Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving, and communication skills.
