., you will play a crucial role in the design, development, and implementation of power electronics solutions. This position requires a deep understanding of various topologies in power electronics, also circuits like inverters, converters, and switch mode power supplies, as well as the ability to lead and mentor a team of engineers.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead the design and development of power conversion systems (AC-DC, DC-DC, DC-AC, PFC circuits, inverters, and battery management systems).
Drive end-to-end product development -- from concept, simulation, and prototyping to testing and production release.
Ensure designs meet medical device regulatory and safety standards (e.g., IEC 60601, ISO 14971, EMC/EMI compliance).
Conduct simulation and modeling using tools such as MATLAB/Simulink, PLECS, or PSIM.
Design and validate analog/digital control circuits for power stages.
Collaborate with firmware, mechanical, and biomedical engineers to integrate power systems into medical devices.
Lead root cause analysis, design reviews, and risk assessments for system failures.
Guide junior engineers in circuit design, component selection, and testing methodologies.
Work closely with supply chain and manufacturing teams to ensure design-for-manufacturing (DFM) and design-for-testability (DFT) principles.
Prepare technical documentation, test reports, and compliance records for internal and regulatory audits.
Required Technical Skills:
Strong knowledge of power converter topologies (flyback, buck, boost, resonant, and full-bridge).
Expertise in PWM control, PFC design, magnetics, and thermal management.
Familiarity with medical power supply requirements (creepage/clearance, leakage current, isolation).
Proficiency in simulation tools (MATLAB, PLECS, PSIM, LTSpice) and schematic/PCB design tools (Altium, OrCAD, or KiCAD).
Experience with microcontroller-based control systems (ARM, DSP, or FPGA).
Knowledge of EMI/EMC testing, regulatory compliance, and safety certifications.
Qualifications:
1. Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Power Electronics, or a related field. Advanced degree (Master's or Ph.D.) is a plus.
2. Strong expertise in designing power converters, inverters, and power supplies.
3. Proficient in simulation tools (e.g., SPICE) and CAD tools for schematic capture and PCB layout.
4. Familiarity with industry standards and regulations related to power electronics.
5. Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
6. Leadership experience, including mentoring and guiding junior engineers.
7. Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
8. Ability to work collaboratively in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
