Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Lead Physiotherapist with a specialization in Neurology to join our dedicated team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing expert clinical care to patients with neurological conditions, overseeing neurological physiotherapy services, and mentoring junior staff. This role requires strong leadership qualities combined with advanced clinical expertise in neuro-rehabilitation.

Key Responsibilities:

Conduct comprehensive neurological physiotherapy assessments, formulate diagnoses, and develop individualized treatment plans for patients with diverse neurological conditions (e.g., Stroke, Traumatic Brain Injury, Spinal Cord Injury, Parkinson's Disease, Multiple Sclerosis, etc.). Deliver advanced, evidence-based physiotherapy interventions tailored to neurological patients. Lead, supervise, and mentor junior physiotherapists and support staff within the neurology specialty. Oversee the day-to-day clinical operations related to neurological physiotherapy services. Contribute to the development and implementation of clinical pathways, protocols, and best practices in neuro-rehabilitation within the department. Collaborate effectively with consultants, physicians, occupational therapists, speech therapists, nurses, and other members of the multidisciplinary team to ensure holistic patient care. Maintain accurate, timely, and comprehensive patient documentation in accordance with organizational and regulatory standards. Participate in team meetings, case conferences, and clinical audits. Stay abreast of the latest advancements, research, and techniques in neurological physiotherapy and promote continuous learning within the team. Assist in quality improvement initiatives and service development for the physiotherapy department.

Required Qualifications & Experience:

Qualification:

Master's Degree in Physiotherapy (MPT) with a specialization in Neurology, Neuro Rehabilitation, or a closely related and relevant field.

Experience:

A minimum of 2 to 4 years of post-MPT clinical experience, with a demonstrated strong focus and expertise in treating patients with neurological conditions.

Required Skills & Competencies:

In-depth knowledge and practical expertise in neurological physiotherapy assessment and treatment techniques. Strong clinical reasoning and problem-solving abilities. Proven leadership potential or experience in guiding/mentoring colleagues. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (both verbal and written), with the ability to connect effectively with patients, families, and colleagues. Proficiency in maintaining detailed clinical documentation (experience with EMR/EHR systems is a plus). Strong organizational and time management skills. Commitment to evidence-based practice and continuous professional development. Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
