eBay is seeking a dynamic

Lead Manager, Global Technology Communications

to join our expanding team in

Bengaluru, India

. This pivotal role will serve as a strategic communications business partner, responsible for internal and external communications that inspire, inform, and engage -- with a particular focus on

technology and AI transformation

.

This leader will support global tech communications efforts while also playing a key role in

amplifying eBay's brand and employer reputation in India

as we ramp up hiring in the region. You'll collaborate with global communications and regional leadership to foster cultural consistency, bridge operational shifts, and drive employee engagement at scale.

The ideal candidate will be both strategic and hands-on -- equally comfortable developing communication frameworks and rolling up their sleeves to craft compelling content. This is a unique opportunity to shape how eBay tells its technology story globally and locally, while helping unify and empower our growing India-based teams.

Key Responsibilities

Lead and execute employee communication strategies

for global and regional technology initiatives, aligning with business goals and cultural priorities.

Support eBay's brand and reputation in India

by supporting our social media strategy, targeted messaging, and talent acquisition campaigns as we expand in Bengaluru.

Drive cultural consistency by helping to develop frameworks that

unify globally dispersed teams

,

reduce silos

, and

enable scalable collaboration

across regions.

Play a critical role in

communicating large-scale organizational change

, with a focus on technology transformation and AI-related initiatives.

Collaborate closely with senior leaders to

craft and deliver executive communications

, including internal messages, presentations, talking points, and external speaking engagements.

Contribute to the design and execution of communication strategies that support

operational shifts

,

new ways of working

, and team productivity.

Work closely with global communication partners to advance a

strong external tech media presence

, ensuring eBay's voice in AI, ecommerce, and platform innovation is consistently represented.

Partner with global and India-based teams to help localize messaging in support of eBay's values, mission, and strategic direction.

Serve as a trusted advisor to senior technology and product leaders, providing counsel, clarity, and communication best practices.

Qualifications & Experience

10+ years in internal/external communications, with at least 5 years focused in the

Technology or Ecommerce sector

.

Proven ability to lead communication initiatives across

global, matrixed teams

.

Strong written and verbal storytelling skills, with the ability to synthesize complex technical content for multiple audiences.

Experience supporting

change management

and cultural transformation at scale.

A track record of working cross culturally in a large global company with senior executives on high-visibility communications.

Experience in

supporting or managing employer branding efforts

, especially in India or APAC markets, is a plus.

Background in

AI, data, or technology transformation communications

is highly valued.

Experience in global organizations with a distributed workforce is preferred.
