Interest in any of the following - network programming, security concepts and cryptography, public clouds (Azure, AWS, Google), containerization (Kubernetes)
Communication protocols e.g. HTTP/S, SOAP, Web Service, SFTP, FTP, EDIINT AS2, ebXML
Security protocols e.g. SMIME, PGP, XMLDsig, EDIFACTSecure, PDFSignature
Ability to design software in a scalable and distributed environment
Familiarity with OSGi frameworks - our platform uses Apache Karaf
