Key Responsibilities:

  • Work with a team of engineers and cross-divisionally with our partners to build mobile solutions for our enterprise users.
  • Native iOS applications built using Swift / SwiftUI.
  • Deliver against the long-term vision for the Delta Air Line mobile experience, with the goal of simplifying the experience for employees and supporting efforts to improve the experience of our customers.
  • Build mobile apps based on UX process and collaborate with design teams.
  • Work as a valued squad member in an Agile environment, while contributing to the larger Digital Mobile domain at Delta to improve processes, capabilities and toolkits.
What you need to succeed (minimum qualifications):
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or engineering discipline, or equivalent experience is required
  • 6+ Years of Swift / SwiftUI / UIKit and Observation-based frameworks.
  • Experience with Swift concurrency model, actors, pub / sub architecture, multi-threaded programming, SwiftData / Core Data, Combine, memory management, performance / optimization techniques, error handling, and unit testing + data mocking best practices.
  • Strong in design patterns and can determine when / why one should be used over another.
  • Experience with both relational and non-relational on-device database systems and ORMs.
  • Experience in GIT and DevOps pipeline including TDD and test automation.
  • Ability to utilize AI tools as an aide without being overly dependent. Must be able to vet, review, and make own conclusions about information provided from AI tools.
  • A good understanding of Agile Methodology is required.
  • Familiarity with working on analytics tools like Firebase and/or custom event tracking frameworks.
  • Must have the ability to work well with multiple teams in a time sensitive and team environment with minimal supervision, be results oriented and capable of meeting deadlines with attention to detail and follow through.

  • Knowledge / Experienced with interface design tools such as Figma.
  • Experience and familiarity addressing technical audiences, as well as interacting with business stakeholders and Product Owners.
What will give you a competitive edge (preferred qualifications):
  • Working knowledge of AWS, Node.js and lambdas is desired but not required.
  • Familiarity with database technology such as MySQL, Oracle, and MongoDB.
  • Knowledge of profiling and optimizing app launch time, memory usage, and battery consumption using Instruments.
  • Offline Support & Data Sync: Knowledge of building mobile apps with offline capabilities. Experience with tools like Ditto, Core Data + background sync, Realm, or custom caching strategies to support unreliable connectivity environments.
  • Experience building cross-Platform applications for both iOS and Android using .NET MAUI.
