: Senior DevOps Engineer
Location: India Bangalore, Kochi, Thiruvananthapuram
We are seeking a highly skilled and self-driven Senior DevOps Engineer to design, build, optimize, and support modern CI/CD pipelines, cloud infrastructure, automation frameworks, and DevOps solutions. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience with cloud platforms, container orchestration, infrastructure automation, and modern DevOps toolchains. You will work closely with architects, engineers, and Agile teams to deliver scalable, secure, and efficient DevOps capabilities.
Role Overview
The Senior DevOps Engineer will work under the guidance of a Lead/Architect to translate customer and project requirements into robust DevOps solutions. You will own the design, implementation, troubleshooting, and optimization of DevOps components and CI/CD pipelines, while mentoring junior engineers and collaborating with cross-functional teams.
Key Responsibilities
Development & Automation

• Design, build, configure, and troubleshoot CI/CD pipelines and DevOps tools.
• Develop automated components for installation, configuration, build, and deployment tasks for on-premise and cloud environments.
• Automate infrastructure provisioning using tools such as Ansible, Terraform, ARM Templates, CloudFormation, etc.
• Develop scripts using PowerShell, Python, Shell, Bash, Groovy, or Perl.

Cloud & Infrastructure

• Configure and manage cloud infrastructure on AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Support migration of applications from on-premises to cloud.
• Manage distributed deployments, load balancing, scaling, and resource optimization.
• Troubleshoot network, system, and clustered environment issues.

CI/CD & DevOps Tools

• Integrate pipelines with code quality tools such as SonarQube, Cobertura, Clover.
• Integrate automated testing frameworks (Selenium, JUnit, NUnit) into pipelines.
• Manage repository platforms such as Git, GitHub, Bitbucket, GitLab, ClearCase.
• Use build tools Maven, Ant, and artifact repositories Nexus, Artifactory.
• Configure monitoring, logging, and dashboards (ELK, Splunk).
• Work with Docker, Kubernetes, Helm, and container orchestration at an admin level.

Agile Collaboration

• Work with Agile teams to support DevOps requirements and provide CI/CD enablement.
• Validate solutions with stakeholders and support solution commissioning.
• Provide guidance, mentoring, and code reviews for DevOps engineers.
• Prepare SOPs, training materials, and documentation for onboarding teams to DevOps tools.

Stakeholder Management

• Prepare and share status updates with management and stakeholders.
• Track efficiency, quality, and process improvements across DevOps activities.

Required Skills & Expertise

• Strong background in DevOps, Azure, Kubernetes
• 4+ years of hands-on experience with infrastructure automation, Linux systems, and cloud platforms
• Expertise with:

• AWS/Azure, Linux (Ubuntu), Shell scripting
• Configuration tools: Ansible, Puppet, Chef
• Scripting: Python, Shell, PowerShell, Perl, Groovy
• CI/CD tools: Jenkins, Bamboo, Azure DevOps
• Containers: Docker, Kubernetes, Helm
• Build & Repo tools: Git, Bitbucket, Maven, Nginx, RabbitMQ
• Databases: MySQL, NoSQL, Redis
• Strong understanding of networking, load balancing, distributed systems, and deployment strategies
• Ability to support capacity management, performance tuning, and scalability
• Strong debugging skills and problem-solving mindset
• Excellent communication, teamwork, prioritization, and leadership abilities

Work Model

• Hybrid, 3 days per week in office.
