Role Overview

The Senior Software Engineer will be part of an agile development team working on cutting-edge internal actuarial solutions. The role involves full-stack development with a strong focus on Node.js, React, and AWS cloud technologies, supporting both cloud-native and legacy on-premise applications undergoing migration.

Must-Have Skills

Node.js (Backend development) AWS Cloud Services (Step Functions, AWS Batch, Lambda, ECS/Fargate) React.js (Frontend development) or Data Engineering exposure API-based application development Terraform and CI/CD tools (Jenkins / GitHub Actions) SQL & NoSQL databases Docker / Linux Containers and container orchestration Test-Driven Development (TDD) Strong problem-solving and independent decision-making skills Excellent communication skills (written & verbal)

Good-to-Have Skills

DBT / Qlik Replication Snowflake C programming .NET (Core / Framework) Angular Groovy Python Shell Scripting Experience in Insurance / Reinsurance domain Professional or cloud-related certifications

Design, develop, test, and deploy API-driven cloud-first applications Solve complex technical problems in ambiguous environments Collaborate closely with product stakeholders and cross-functional teams Ensure high-quality, well-tested, and scalable code Mentor junior engineers and contribute to technical decision-making Support legacy systems during cloud migration Continuously improve systems, processes, and technical standards
