Job Title: Senior Appian Consultant / Appian Architect

Role Overview:
We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Appian Consultant / Appian Architect to lead the design, development, and delivery of enterprise-grade business process applications on the Appian Low-Code BPM platform. The ideal candidate will bring deep technical knowledge of Appian components, experience in end-to-end project delivery, and the ability to architect scalable, maintainable, and secure solutions.
You will be expected to work in a hybrid model alongside globally distributed teams, playing a key role in consulting, architecture, stakeholder management, and mentoring junior developers.
Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the architecture, design, and development of end-to-end Appian-based business process automation solutions.
• Work closely with business stakeholders, product owners, and analysts to understand functional requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
• Develop and maintain:

• Complex Appian Process Models using BPMN standards
• Dynamic SAIL Interfaces
• Integrations with third-party systems using REST/SOAP APIs
• Web APIs, Custom Data Types (CDTs), Forms, and Reports
• Review, optimize, and govern technical implementations across multiple Appian projects.
• Define and enforce Appian development standards, coding best practices, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Design scalable and reusable Appian architecture patterns and frameworks.
• Ensure code quality, performance tuning, and solution reliability across development and production environments.
• Lead code reviews, provide architectural guidance, and mentor junior developers.
• Collaborate across DevOps, QA, and infrastructure teams to support deployments and troubleshooting.
• Maintain technical documentation and support audits and compliance reviews.

Mandatory Skills & Experience:

• 8-12 years of total IT experience, with a minimum of 5+ years in Appian BPM development and at least 2 years in architecture/design roles
• Expert-level proficiency in:

• Appian Process Models
• SAIL Interface Design
• Appian Integrations (REST/SOAP)
• Web API Development
• Form and Reporting Design
• Custom Data Types (CDTs)
• Deep understanding of BPMN, XML, and XSD
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments
• Strong communication, leadership, and client/stakeholder management skills
• Proven ability to work effectively in hybrid and geographically distributed teams

Preferred Skills:

• Appian Level 2 or Level 3 Certified (preferred)
• Experience with Appian plug-ins, RPA, and DevOps tools
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, Git, Jenkins, Docker/Kubernetes (optional but advantageous)
• Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS, Azure) is a plus
• Experience in regulated industries (BFSI, healthcare, etc.) is an advantage

Educational Qualifications:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
