Position: Senior Data Engineer (Python & Devops)
Experience: 7-8 Years
Work Location: Bangalore, Hyderabad, Mumbai, Kolkata (Hybrid)
Work Hours: 2 PM - 11 PM IST
Job Summary:
We are seeking a Senior Data Engineer with strong Python and Devops development skills to join our team. The ideal candidate should have 7-8 years of experience in data engineering, Python development, and DevOps practices, particularly using Azure. This role requires hands-on expertise in managing large-scale data pipelines, working with both SQL and NoSQL systems, and leveraging modern cloud and containerization technologies.
Key Responsibilities:
Design, develop, and maintain data pipelines using Python and SQL
Implement scalable ETL processes to handle various data types and formats
Work closely with DevOps tools including Azure DevOps, Docker, and Kubernetes
Handle database management across both RDBMS (SQL) and NoSQL systems like Hive and HBase
Utilize cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS, or GCP to build and deploy data solutions
Collaborate with cross-functional teams in an Agile environment (Scrum, Kanban, Jira)
Use data processing frameworks such as Apache Airflow, Hadoop, or Spark to manage data workflows
Required Skills:
Minimum 7 years of experience in Python development and Data Engineering
Strong proficiency in SQL
Hands-on experience with Azure DevOps
Proficiency in Docker, Kubernetes
Experience working with cloud platforms (Azure is a must; AWS/GCP is a plus)
Knowledge of Hive and HBase is an added advantage
Familiar with modern SDLC methodologies (Agile, Scrum, Kanban)
Nice to Have:
Experience with Apache Airflow, Hadoop, Spark
Exposure to end-to-end data pipeline development and monitoring
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
