Role description

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Quality Engineer with over 8 years of experience to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in both manual and automated testing, with a deep understanding of software quality assurance practices within Agile environments. You will play a key role in ensuring the delivery of high-quality web applications by designing, implementing, and maintaining robust test suites. Key Responsibilities: Lead and execute comprehensive manual testing efforts, including regression and smoke testing cycles, to validate software quality. Develop, maintain, and enhance automated test scripts primarily using Java, Selenium, and Cucumber frameworks. Collaborate with cross-functional teams including developers, product managers, and DevOps to ensure test coverage and product quality throughout the CI/CD pipeline. Work effectively within Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) environments, utilizing tools such as GitLab pipelines and Docker. Design and implement test automation strategies tailored for web applications to improve testing efficiency and coverage. Conduct performance testing and analysis using tools like Gatling and Lighthouse to identify bottlenecks and ensure application scalability and responsiveness. Continuously evaluate and improve test suites to ensure robustness, reliability, and maintainability. Champion software quality principles and actively contribute to Agile ceremonies and processes. Communicate testing progress, issues, and risks clearly and proactively to all stakeholders. Troubleshoot and resolve complex testing challenges with a problem-solving mindset. Must-Have Qualifications: 8+ years of professional experience in software quality assurance and testing. Solid expertise in manual testing including regression, smoke, and exploratory testing. Proficient in Java programming for test automation development. Hands-on experience writing automated tests using Selenium WebDriver and Cucumber BDD framework. Proven experience working in CI/CD environments such as GitLab pipelines and Docker containers. Strong understanding of test automation strategies specifically for web-based applications. Familiarity with performance testing tools, particularly Gatling and Lighthouse. Ability to design, implement, and maintain scalable and maintainable automated test suites. Deep knowledge of software quality assurance principles, Agile methodologies, and best practices. Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively with developers, product managers, and DevOps teams. Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
