Role description

We are looking for a Senior Quality Engineer with over 6 years of experience in quality assurance and test automation. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in API testing, hands-on development skills in Java and Spring, and a solid understanding of CI/CD pipelines using GitLab. You will play a key role in designing and executing automated test strategies, integrating tests into continuous delivery workflows, and ensuring high-quality releases in an Agile environment. Key Responsibilities Design, develop, and execute automated API test cases using Java and related frameworks. Collaborate with developers, product managers, and DevOps teams to understand requirements and define test strategies. Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines using GitLab for continuous testing and delivery. Create and maintain test frameworks for RESTful APIs, microservices, and backend components. Monitor and improve test coverage, reliability, and execution times. Identify, document, and track defects and ensure timely resolution. Review code changes and write unit/integration tests to maintain product quality. Contribute to test planning, test case design, and QA best practices. Participate in Agile ceremonies such as sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives. Must-Have Skills 6+ years of experience in Quality Engineering or Test Automation. Strong hands-on experience with API testing using tools such as Postman, RestAssured, or SoapUI. Proficiency in Java and Spring Framework for automation development. Deep understanding of CI/CD pipelines, particularly using GitLab CI. Familiarity with JSON, XML, and other web service data formats. Solid grasp of SDLC, Agile methodologies, and test strategy development.
