Job Description

We are looking for a highly skilled Senior Backend Engineer with 6+ years of experience in Java, ATG Commerce, and Microservices-based architectures. The ideal candidate will have strong hands on development skills, deep understanding of large-scale ecommerce platforms, and the ability to design, build, and optimize distributed systems.
Key Responsibilities
Develop, enhance, and maintain backend services using Java and ATG (Oracle Commerce).
Design and implement microservices with high performance, scalability, and resilience.
Build RESTful services, integrations, and complex backend workflows for enterprise commerce systems.
Participate in solution design, code reviews, troubleshooting, and performance tuning.
Collaborate closely with architects, frontend teams, QA, DevOps, and product owners to deliver high quality features.
Ensure adherence to coding standards, best practices, and secure development guidelines.
Work in Agile/Scrum teams, contributing to sprint planning, estimations, and delivery commitments.
Required Skills
6+ years of professional experience in backend development.
Strong expertise in Java / J2EE.
Hands on experience with ATG/Oracle Commerce modules (BCC, CSC, DPS, DSC, Pricing, Checkout, etc.).
Solid experience building and deploying Microservices (Spring Boot or equivalent frameworks).
Strong understanding of distributed systems, caching, and event driven patterns.
Experience with REST APIs, JSON/XML, integration layers, and middleware components.
Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, version control (Git), and DevOps practices.
Good to Have
Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP).
Experience with messaging systems (Kafka, JMS), caching (Redis, Coherence), or NoSQL databases.
Experience with performance optimization in high traffic ecommerce environments.
Exposure to Docker or containerized deployments.
