Job Description

We are seeking a Senior Backend Developer with 6+ years of
hands-on experience building scalable, performant backend systems. You will
play a key role in architecting and developing backend services using Java,
frameworks like Spring or Micronaut, and integrating with event-driven systems
using Kafka. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment, writes
clean, testable code, and has a passion for delivering high-quality backend
solutions.
Key Responsibilities
Design, build, and maintain scalable and reliable backend services using Java
(8+) and Spring Boot or Micronaut.
Develop and expose RESTful APIs and/or GraphQL endpoints for frontend and
external integrations.
Work with Kafka or similar messaging platforms to implement event-driven
architectures.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and translate
them into technical solutions.
Contribute to architectural decisions, technical documentation, and system
design.
Ensure high test coverage and participate in peer code reviews.
Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines using tools like GitLab CI/CD.
Monitor and troubleshoot production issues and improve system observability.
Required Skills & Experience
6+ years of backend development experience with Java.
Strong knowledge of Spring Boot and/or Micronaut frameworks.
Experience designing and implementing RESTful APIs and/or GraphQL.
Proficiency with Kafka or other message brokers for event-driven systems.
Experience with relational and/or NoSQL databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL,
MongoDB).
Familiarity with CI/CD tooling, especially GitLab, Jenkins, or similar.
Good understanding of software engineering principles, design patterns, and
best practices.
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
