Job Title:

SRE Engineer

Location:

Mumbai, India

Key Responsibilities

###

1. Platform Engineering

Design, build, and maintain scalable and resilient platform solutions using Kubernetes, Docker, and other orchestration tools. Implement and manage Kafka clusters for real-time data streaming and event-driven architecture. Collaborate with application teams to develop microservices-based architectures with a focus on scalability, performance, and reliability.

2. Tooling & Automation

Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines using tools like Jenkins and Git. Automate infrastructure provisioning and application deployment. Create scripting and tooling using Python, Bash, etc., to minimize manual intervention. Manage Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Ansible for cloud and on-prem environments.

3. Observability & Monitoring

Implement observability tools such as Grafana, Prometheus, and the ELK stack. Create dashboards, s, and runbooks to enhance incident management and operational efficiency. Conduct system performance tuning and capacity planning.

4. Application Engineering Support

Partner with development teams to optimize application performance and resolve production issues. Deploy and manage service mesh technologies for microservices communication. Support scalable data pipelines and streaming workflows using Kafka and related technologies.

5. Security & Compliance

Ensure secure platform deployment and operations through robust access controls and vulnerability assessments. Work closely with security teams to implement compliance controls and best practices.

6. Collaboration & Documentation

Maintain clear documentation of infrastructure, automation tools, and processes. Collaborate cross-functionally with developers, QA, and other SREs to enhance system reliability and performance.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. 5+ years of experience in SRE, DevOps, or Platform Engineering roles. Strong expertise in Kubernetes, Docker, and container orchestration platforms. Proficiency in managing Kafka clusters and real-time data streaming. Experience with monitoring tools like Grafana, Prometheus, and ELK Stack. Hands-on experience in CI/CD pipeline development and automation. Skilled in scripting languages such as Python and Bash. Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure) and Infrastructure as Code tools like Ansible. ###
