The Opportunity

:

UST is looking for

Lab Support

professional to act as the

primary point of contact (POC)

for platform support activities in a semiconductor lab environment.

Key Roles & Responsibilities:

Act as the primary POC for the platform support team, owning daily lab operations and priorities.

Lead platform bring-up, system assembly, and configuration for server and client platforms. Install, configure, and debug Linux and Windows operating systems.

Perform and oversee BIOS, firmware, BMC, and driver flashing activities.

Drive first-level debug and issue triage, ensuring high-quality data before escalation.

Coordinate rack setup, cabling, power, and lab infrastructure readiness.

Enforce lab discipline including ESD compliance, safety standards, and housekeeping.

Track systems, components, and assets using inventory and ticketing tools.

Maintain accurate documentation for platform configurations, lab activities, and debug outcomes.

Mentor and guide lab support engineers and technicians, providing technical direction.

Work closely with validation, firmware, hardware, and program teams for platform readiness.

Provide regular status updates on lab health, platform availability, risks, and dependencies

Required Skills:

7+ years of experience in lab support, platform support, or hardware validation environments.

Strong hands-on expertise in server or client platform bring-up and troubleshooting.

Proficiency in Linux and Windows OS installation, configuration, and debug.

Solid understanding of BIOS, firmware, BMC, and driver workflows.

Working knowledge of networking fundamentals (DHCP, Static IP, basic switching).

Proven experience leading teams or acting as a technical POC in lab environments.

Strong communication, documentation, and cross-team coordination skills.

Ability to work independently while owning delivery in a fast-paced lab setting.

Desired Skills:

Full-time onsite role based in Bangalore, India.

Hands-on lab leadership role supporting platform validation and engineering teams.

Remote or hybrid work options are not supported.
