Role description

Role Proficiency:



Independently handle Lab Management. Acts creatively to optimise process efficiency and improve quality of deliverables; accounts for others developmental activities



Outcomes:



Handle order management in order to manage purchase requests from client

Monitor inventory item utilization to ensure sustained supply

Optimise efficiency and quality of task deliverables by giving process improvement suggestions to client

Identify the problem statement based on user feedback on a particular task improve the handling method

Ensure enhanced utilization and upkeep of Lab assets.

Ensure 100% Compliance on HVI Lab Network Security Lab CW

Enable planning ordering and tracking of Lab Assets; support logistics from a customs perspective

Define the Lab user authorizations

Provide suggestions on process or method that can be implemented based on user requirements.

Proactively identify client requirement implementation based on company policy without any violations

Mentor team members to effectively perform in their roles

Set FAST Goals and provide feedback of FAST goals to mentees


Measures of Outcomes:



Adherence to lab process and standards

Adherence to schedule and timelines

Adhere to SLAs

Reduction of reoccurrence of handling errors as per SLA

Defined productivity standards for lab process

Completion of all mandatory training requirements


Outputs Expected:



Manage:



Manage task deliverables with quality and targeting completion timeframe.



Compliance :



Support information governance activities and audit preparations.

Ensure compliance to 6S process.



Configure:



Set up basic lab set of host and network



Document:



Create documentation for own work as well as perform peer review of documentation of others' work



Inventory Management:



Design and implement lab/inventory tracking system to optimize Lab inventory control procedures.

Examine the levels of supplies and material availability to determine shortages.

Analyse different suppliers to obtain the best cost-effective deals when and where applicable



Safety:



Work with security and safety team for defining the lab Safety and security standards



Manage knowledge:



Consume and contribute to lab related documents
share point and client universities.




Status Reporting:



Report status of tasks assigned

Compliance with lab related reporting standards and process



Mentoring:



Mentor Associate III - Lab Management
Associate II - Lab Management and Associate I - Lab Management on the team


Set FAST goals and provide feedback to FAST goals of mentees


Skill Examples:



Explain and communicate to the customers

Estimate time effort and resources required for task deliverables

Perform tasks in the customer or target lab environments

Good written and verbal communication abilities

Thorough understanding of the domain with work experience in Inventory Store / Lab handling audits (internal and external) Handling Shipments Surprise Audits ODC Movements Process Documentation and Vendor Management.


Knowledge Examples:


Proficient in at least one Inventory management tool
+ Thorough understanding of hardware including desktop handheld computers Mother Boards and barcode scanners

+ Knowledge of stock accounting program Microsoft Excel PowerPoint.

+ Knowledgeable on customs clearance
