We are seeking a dynamic Marketing Specialist with a focus on lead generation and cold calling to drive business growth in the furniture domain. The ideal candidate will identify and engage potential clients, such as furniture manufacturers, designers, architects, and retailers, to promote Whittlework's handcrafted texturing services. This role is crucial for expanding our market presence and generating qualified leads that convert into partnerships and projects. A background in the furniture industry or design is preferred to better understand client needs and effectively communicate our unique value proposition.
This is a full-time position based in Ahmedabad, Gujarat (or remote with flexibility for in-person meetings as needed). The role reports to the Marketing Manager or Head of Business Development.
Key Responsibilities
Lead Generation
: Identify and research potential clients in the furniture industry, including manufacturers, interior designers, architects, furniture retailers, and related businesses, using tools like LinkedIn, industry databases, and market research etc.
Cold Calling and Outreach
: Conduct high-volume cold calls, emails, and social media outreach to introduce Whittlework's services, schedule meetings, and nurture leads through the sales funnel.
Market Research
: Analyse trends in the furniture and design sectors to identify opportunities for Whittlework's texturing solutions, such as sustainable materials, custom designs, or innovative applications.
Client Engagement
: Build relationships with prospects by understanding their pain points (e.g., unique texturing for furniture pieces) and demonstrating how our handcrafted solutions add value.
Campaign Support
: Assist in developing and executing targeted marketing campaigns, including content creation for social media, email newsletters, and webinars focused on the furniture domain.
Performance Tracking
: Monitor and report on lead generation metrics, such as call volume, conversion rates, and pipeline health, using CRM tools.
Collaboration
: Work closely with the sales, design, and production teams to ensure leads are qualified and aligned with Whittlework's capabilities.
Event Participation
: Represent Whittlework at industry events, trade shows, or virtual webinars related to furniture and design to generate on-site leads.
Required Qualifications
Education
: Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Design, or a related field.
Experience
: 1-2 years of experience in marketing, sales, or lead generation roles, with proven success in cold calling and outbound prospecting.
Skills
:
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage prospects confidently over the phone or via email.
Proficiency in lead generation tools (e.g., LinkedIn Sales Navigator, ZoomInfo) and CRM systems.
Basic understanding of digital marketing channels, including email marketing and social media.
Analytical mindset to track performance and optimise strategies.
Self-motivated with the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
Technical Proficiency
: Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite, Google Workspace, and basic data analysis tools.
Preferred Qualifications
Industry Background
: Prior experience in the furniture industry, interior design, woodworking, or related fields, with a degree (e.g., knowledge of materials like wood textures, sustainable design trends).
Additional Skills
: Experience with B2B marketing in creative or manufacturing sectors; familiarity with design software for creating promotional materials.
Language Skills
: Fluency in English and Hindi; knowledge of Gujarati is a plus for local client interactions.
