Role Overview
A Lead Generation Specialist for SaaS based products is responsible for identifying and attracting potential customers or clients, initiating contact, and nurturing relationships with them to ultimately generate sales lead.
The ideal candidate shall have experience in lead generation through Cold Calls and Email Marketing for an IT Software Product/Solution Organization.
As a Lead Generation Specialist for our SaaS based products, you will be a crucial part of our sales and marketing efforts, responsible for identifying and engaging potential customers who can benefit from our products/software solutions. Your goal is to generate high quality leads that can be converted into paying customers and contribute to the growth of our business.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead Identification Research and identify potential leads or target customers who fit the ideal customer profile for our SaaS products. This may involve various sources such as online databases, social media, industry events and inbound enquiries
Outreach and Engagement Initiate contact with potential leads thourgh various communication channels, including emails, phone calls, social media and networking. Tailor your outreach to address their specific pain points and needs
Qualification Qualify leads by assessing their level of interest, budget and readiness to purchase our SaaS product. Ensure that leads meet the established criteria for potential customers.
Lead Nurturing Develop and implement lead nurturing strategies, including automated email campaigns, follow up calls, and content sharing, to keep leads engaged and move them through the sales funnel
Data Management Maintain accurate and organized lead databases or customer relationship management (CRM) systems. Keep detailed records of interactions and lead progress
Reporting and Analytics Track and Analyze the effectiveness of lead generation strategies and campaigns. Provide regular reports of lead generation performance to the sales and marketing team
Collaboration - Collaborate closely with the sales and marketing teams to align lead generation efforts with overall business objectives and provide support in achieving sales targets
Continuous Learning - Stay updated on Industry Trends, Sales Tactics, and Competitor Offerings to improve lead generation strategies
Hence, a Lead Generation Specialist is expected to do all of the below on a day-to-day basis:-
Identifying Key decision makers in the given Database and fix appointments/meetings with them
At least reach 100-150 prospective customers per day through emails
Cold calling- reaching out to at least 60-70 customers per day through cold calls
Generation/Creation of Database
Create, execute and follow-up with the prospects on regular basis, maintain good pipeline in assigned territory/geography/Vertical.
Maintaining database (CRM, Excel, etc.) of prospective client information
Create and deliver qualified opportunities to Account Managers where appropriate
Primary Skills:
0 to 2 years of Enterprise B2B Software Product or Solution sales experience (especially in Lead Generation role)
To generate leads through Cold Calling, Social Selling (LinkedIn/software review groups), Secondary Research
Lead Generation experience through cold calling (Major), Social Selling (Major) & email marketing (Minor) in space of IT Products and Services would be desirable
Experience of pitching Solutions or Products in Procure to Pay Space is added advantage (desirable not essential)
Experience calling and dealing with CXO Level persons
Experience in Prospecting, Customer Profiling, Tele Sales
Strong prospecting and research skills
Persuasive and effective communication skills
Data-driven and analytical mind set to evaluate lead generation strategies
Ability to work independently and in a team, with a high degree of self-motivation
Result-oriented and driven to meet or exceed lead generation targets
Qualifications:

Good working knowledge in IT Product/Solution sales
Working knowledge with MS Office- Excel, Word, PowerPoint

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Strong problem-solving abilities and goal oriented mind set
* Understanding of the SaaS industry and software solution is a plus
