Job Description

Responsibilities: 1. Export/Import Operations

• Lead end-to-end logistics for international shipments, including documentation, customs clearance, and coordination with freight forwarders and customs brokers.
• Ensure timely and cost-effective movement of goods while maintaining high standards of security and traceability.

2. Licensing & Regulatory Compliance

• Manage the full lifecycle of defence export/import licenses including:

• SCOMET licensing
• End User Certificate (EUC) processing
• DGFT and MoD clearances
• ITAR/EAR compliance (for US-origin components)
• Liaise with Defence Export Promotion Cell (DEPC), Defence Attaches, and the Ministry of External Affairs for approvals and facilitation

3. Stakeholder Engagement

• Collaborate with internal teams (SCM, Legal, Finance, Engineering) and external agencies (DRDO, DPSUs, MoD) to ensure alignment on compliance and logistics.
• Represent the company in interactions with government bodies and international partners.

4. Documentation & Audit Readiness

• Maintain meticulous records of all export/import transactions, licenses, and correspondence.
• Prepare for and support internal and external audits, ensuring zero non-compliance.

5. Process Optimization

• Drive digitization of export/import workflows using platforms like SAP, EAS, and SRIJAN
• Identify and implement cost-saving and risk-mitigation strategies in logistics and compliance.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, International Business, or Supply Chain; MBA preferred.
• 10-15 years of experience in defence/aerospace export-import operations.
• Proven expertise in handling licensing for niche defence products and dual-use technologies.
• Strong understanding of Indian defence export policies (DPEPP 2020, SCOMET, DGFT) and international trade laws (ITAR, EAR).
• Experience in managing high-security, high-stakes logistics environments
