We are looking for determined and dedicated experienced SGS Lead Engineer (=SIS Lead Engineer) for our customers to receive the best-in-class Safety system consultancy for their projects, ranging from conceptual design to installation and commissioning.

We are a digital player, using smart design tools in conjunction with large plant systems to create design solutions and specifications for our clients. We offer an exciting project environment that allows you to continue growing with new ways of working, such as using Axa-via to develop wirings and configuration to follow fast-track projects and ensure the right SIS design and installations.

How you might spend your days

As a Lead Engineer -SGS, you\'ll be working with a motivated, multi-disciplinary team where, you\'ll be:

Leading a group of colleagues preparing engineering/technical deliverables for SGS

  • Coordinate technical work with HSE, Process, Electrical, BMS and Mechanical
  • Set out technical directions
  • Technical trouble shooting
Preparing design specifications and supporting the selection of SGS components:
  • Tendering, BOQ and contract work.
  • Review of vendor offer
  • Technical Bid Evaluation
Leading Construction, testing & validation and handover:
  • Executing projects in the construction phase by supervising contractors and suppliers.
  • Planning and controlling FAT/SAT activities.
  • Testing and validation of saftey functions
  • Commissioning and handover activities
Providing Lead level support to complex process challenges for SGS design:
  • Specification for SGS systems
  • Participate in Hazop and SIL studies
  • Preparation of Saftey requirement specification
  • Preparation of Cause and Effect
  • Preparation of SGS architecture
  • Vendor documents review
  • SIL calculations
  • Understanding of IEC 61511 and 61508 standards, ISA S84.1
  • ATEX principles / hazardous area design
  • Intrinsically safe calculations
  • TUV / Exida Certification (Added advantage)
Supporting the development of our SGS Engineering System through standardization.
  • Developing and designing engineered solutions to complex problems through individ-ual contribution and/or by leading teams of engineers.

To apply for the position there are some things that are needed, and others are a bonus. We believe these qualifications are needed for you to do well in this role:
  • You have at least twelve years of experience working as a Lead/Senior with SIS design and implementation.
  • You have worked as a Lead Engineer, technical leadership setting direction/standards within and in alignment with team
  • You have the responsibility of technical and financial outcome of own discipline in projects
  • You have GMP experience from the process, pharmaceutical, or life science industry.
  • You have a degree in Instrumentation engineering or a similar technical field.
