Job Description

• Design, develop, and maintain data ingestion and transformation pipelines using Apache NiFi.

• Administer and monitor NiFi clusters - including configuration, performance tuning, security, and high availability setup.

• Deploy and manage NiFi on AWS infrastructure (EC2, Fargate, or EKS).

• Integrate NiFi dataflows with AWS services such as:

o AWS Lambda - for event-driven processing
o AWS Elasticache (Redis/Memcached) - for caching and fast data access
o AWS Fargate / ECS - for containerized NiFi deployments
o ECR - for container image management
o S3, CloudWatch, IAM, and API Gateway - for storage, logging, and security

• Manage NiFi Registry for version control and promote flows across environments.

• Implement NiFi user and group policies, SSL, and secure data handling practices.

• Set up automated NiFi deployments using Terraform, CloudFormation, or CI/CD pipelines.

• Perform troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and optimize NiFi performance under heavy load.

• Collaborate with data engineers and DevOps teams for smooth integration with upstream/downstream systems.

Required Skills:

• 6+ years of hands-on NiFi experience in development and administration.

• Strong understanding of NiFi architecture, processors, controller services, backpressure, and flowfile management.

• Proficiency in AWS services:

o Elasticache, Lambda, Fargate, ECR, S3, CloudWatch, IAM, API Gateway.

• Experience deploying NiFi in containerized or serverless environments (Fargate, ECS, or Kubernetes).

• Good scripting skills in Python, Shell, or Groovy for automation and custom NiFi processors.

• Hands-on experience with Git, Jenkins, Terraform, or CloudFormation.

• Strong knowledge of networking, security, and monitoring in cloud environments.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience managing multi-node NiFi clusters with high availability and disaster recovery.

• Knowledge of NiFi Registry and Provenance tracking.

• Experience with Prometheus, Grafana, or CloudWatch dashboards for NiFi metrics.

• Exposure to Kafka, Kinesis, or SQS for data streaming.

• AWS Certified SysOps / Developer / Solutions Architect certification preferred.
