As a Node.js Backend Developer, you will play a critical role in building and scaling robust backend systems that power modern, data-driven products. This role sits at the intersection of engineering, product, and operations, requiring strong backend expertise alongside an understanding of product requirements and cross-functional collaboration. You will design and maintain high-performance APIs, enable seamless data flow across systems, and support scalable architectures that can evolve with business needs. The role is ideal for a technically strong backend engineer who enjoys ownership, problem-solving, and working closely with product managers and engineering leadership in a fast-paced, full-time environment.
Requirements:
Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services and APIs using Node.js and modern frameworks
• Build RESTful and/or GraphQL APIs to support web, mobile, and internal applications
• Collaborate closely with product managers to translate business requirements into reliable backend solutions
• Integrate backend services with databases, third-party systems, and internal tools
• Ensure backend systems meet high standards for performance, security, scalability, and reliability
• Optimize applications for high throughput, low latency, and efficient resource utilization
• Implement best practices for error handling, logging, monitoring, and system observability
• Support cloud-based deployments and contribute to containerized and CI/CD-driven workflows
• Participate in architectural discussions and contribute to long-term backend and platform strategy
• Debug, troubleshoot, and resolve production issues to ensure system stability
• Work effectively within Agile or fast-iteration development environments
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including frontend, data, ML, and operations teams

What Makes You a Great Fit

• Strong professional experience building backend systems using Node.js and JavaScript (ES6+)
• Solid understanding of backend architecture, API design, and asynchronous programming concepts
• Hands-on experience working with SQL and/or NoSQL databases and managing data-intensive applications
• Ability to collaborate effectively with product managers and understand product-driven development
• Experience working in environments that intersect engineering, data, and operations
• Familiarity with cloud platforms, DevOps practices, and modern deployment pipelines
• Strong problem-solving skills with a structured and analytical approach to system design

• Excellent communication skills and ability to work across technical and non-technical stakeholders
