Responsibilities & Key Deliverables
Lighting & Optics design
Should be able to visualize and develop design concepts within the consideration of functional requirement (design / cost / weight targets), position (spatial arrangement, interactions, boundary conditions), geometry (dimension/tolerance etc.), gap and flushness considering the vehicle level requirements/ constraints of systems/subsystems (as an input to the SOR) and implement Lighting System - Exterior & Interior
Benchmarking of lighting technologies
Hands On experience in using optics sowftware like LUCID or SPEOS
POC, SOR, DVP, TSO & development for lighting systems, meeting all functional, quality & regulatory standards/requirements with in project time line.
Interact with supplier from concept to SOP capturing all SOR requirements & address build & validation issues
Managing and tracking of design release, development, validation & field failures
Review & release technical specifications & other documentations
Should have detail knowledge in Optics, CAD packaging and Design
Knowledge in CAE Thermal, Vibraton & Condensations
Should have additional knowledge in Wiring harness, Electronics HW
Must demonstrate a high degree of problem solving ability, especially in the field of expertise. Usage of tools used in DFMEA, problem solving tools and techniques and project management tools
Fluent in use of personal computer programs such as Access, Excel, Word, Power Point, project etc.
Experience
6 to 8 years
Industry Preferred
Any other OEM - Tata, Suzuki, Hyundai, etc or Tier I like Magnetti Marrelli, Varroc, Valeo, etc.,
Qualifications
BE/B Tech Mechanical Engineering
BE/B Tech Automobile engineering
BE/B Tech Mechatronics Engineering
General Requirements
Very Good Vehicle system knowledge in Lighting optics & electronics and other E&E agregates in the vehicle
Market research & Industry trend analysis through tools like benchmarking, networking, conferences, papers, etc
Design thinking through collaboration with internal studio, experts across industries & suppliers for amalgamating the technology into the product
Expertise in Catia V5, optics
Knowledge in electronics & LEDs
Program management skills
Basic level knowledge in Vehicle electronics

Skills Required
