Within Vestas Power Solutions (VPS), you\'ll find our department, Control Hardware, which is a part of the larger R&D organization, Applications, Controls & Electrical.
In the Control Hardware department, we develop next-generation control hardware solutions, by utilizing the techniques of system engineering, modularization, and simulation, to make the new wind turbines and SCADA systems even smarter.
You\'ll be a part of the SCADA Hardware Sub Module within Control Hardware, where we focus not only on product development but also on maintaining and improving our existing on- and offshore SCADA Hardware product range.
We work in an area where Hardware and Software go hand in hand, and therefore close collaboration with other departments is the key to our positive results.
Responsibilities
Handling engineering change management tasks concerning new and existing SCADA hardware products
Create and update technical documentation related to our SCADA hardware solutions
Create and update 2D and 3D CAD drawings
Working in close collaboration with the entire value chain
Working with projects according to the Vestas stage-gate model, from early idea/concept, development stage, and detailed design through verification and implementation
Providing answers to technical questions to internal and external stakeholders, taking part in customer or supplier meetings
Qualifications
Bachelor\'s / Masters degree in Electrical / Similar engineering
8+ years in designing LV systems
Experience with LV cabinet design
Knowledge of LV components and system testing
Good communication skills in English, verbal and written
Experience in working with Bill of Materials (BoM)/ECM (Engineering Change Management)
Experienced in 3D-Modeling and 2D-drafting, e.g., using CREO/ PDMLink and project execution through SAP/ERP/ECM systems
Having 8+ years of hands-on experience in the CREO tool and min. 2 years\' experience in Windchill is essential
Knowledge of IEC and UL standards
Competencies
You possess advanced IT skills and experience with MS Office packages
You are good at coordinating, following up, and being aware of when your different tasks need the right focus
You are proactive, result-oriented, and have a great sense of responsibility
