QCT's Video application engineer supports OEM (smartphone, other emerging customer) with in-depth understanding of Android Video. Candidate should deal with the Video Middleware, driver, firmware related engineering problems reported by handset designers. Need to understand Qualcomm video solution, which includes Video player, file parsers, Video Encoder/Decoders etc. Need to have strong C, C++ programming skills. Need to co-work with cross functional teams in Qualcomm to speed up the solutions to customer problems.
Min Qualification:
1) Relevant experience in embedded applications/middleware/Android Video framework/Video drivers, Video Encoder/Decoder is a must.
2) Strong knowledge & experience of C, C++ programming, any Real time embedded system experience is preferred
3) Experience with embedded software development, ARM family is plus.
4) Good knowledge and experience in Android Multimedia framework, Codec2 and Open MAX IL
5) Strong hardware and Software debugging skills is preferred. Experience with T32, JTAG, ICE debuggers and Android debugging is plus.
6) Good communication skills (both written and verbal), be a team player and customer communication is desirable
Preferred experience levels: 5 to 8 years
Preferred skills:
1) Good knowledge in video domain especially H265/H264/MPEG4/H263/MPEG2/VP9/AV1 Encoder/Decoder
Education Requirements:

• Required: Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Computer Engineering or Electronics and Communications engineering.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 3+ years of Software Applications Engineering, Software Development experience, or related work experience.

OR
Master's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 2+ years of Software Applications Engineering, Software Development experience, or related work experience
OR
PhD in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 1+ year of Software Applications Engineering, Software Development experience, or related work experience.

• 2+ years of experience with debugging techniques.
• 2+ years of experience with Programming Language such as C, C++, Java, Python, etc.
